Meet Laura
Laura Montero
Laura Montero is a Marriage and Family Therapy practicum student completing her clinical training while pursuing her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Touro University. Laura is supervised by Rebecca Ray, LMFT-S, Lic. (#203666).
As a bilingual therapist-in-training, fluent in both English and Spanish, Laura is passionate about making therapy accessible to a wider range of clients and ensuring that individuals and families feel truly heard and understood in the language they are most comfortable with. Her dedication to serving diverse communities stems from her own recognition of how cultural stigmas can prevent people from seeking support. Laura is committed to helping break down those barriers and creating a safe, welcoming space for healing and growth.
Laura has a special interest in working with children and families, guiding them toward healing, stronger communication, and healthier relationships. She believes therapy is a place where families can reconnect, strengthen their bonds, and discover new ways of supporting each other. Her warm and compassionate approach helps clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to take steps toward lasting change.
Whether she is supporting a child navigating big emotions, helping parents strengthen their parenting tools, or working with couples and families to build trust and connection, Laura’s goal is to walk alongside her clients with empathy, curiosity, and respect. She strives to empower every individual and family she works with to embrace their resilience and move toward a brighter, more balanced future.
Laura invites you to take the first step toward healing and growth. With her supportive presence and bilingual expertise, she is ready to help you and your loved ones create meaningful, positive change.
