Meet Sarah

Sarah Kim

Sarah Kim is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lamar University and is completing her clinical training under the supervision of Rebecca Ray, LMFT-S. She is passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout the counseling process.

Before beginning her counseling journey, Sarah worked as an elementary school teacher. Her background in education provided her with valuable experience supporting children, adolescents, and families with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, academic, and developmental needs. This experience also strengthened her ability to build trusting relationships, recognize each person’s unique strengths, and offer encouragement during times of growth and transition.

Sarah has a strong interest in working with children, teens, young adults, and families. Her counseling approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each client’s individual experiences and goals. She strives to help clients better understand their emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, improve communication, and build practical skills for navigating life’s challenges.

Sarah believes every client deserves a safe space to explore their concerns, discover their strengths, and feel supported as they make meaningful changes. She looks forward to walking alongside clients as they work toward healing, resilience, confidence, and personal growth.
