Meet Kendal
Kendal Sandoval
Hi there! My name is Kendal Sandoval, and I’ve been working in the field of mental health since 2017. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate and supervised by Rebecca Ray, LMFT-S (Lic. #203666). Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate the roller coaster ride of life. My clinical focus is in addiction, but I also have a growing passion for play therapy, which I love because of its ability to bring creativity, connection, and healing in such a natural way.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from UCLA and went on to complete my Master’s Degree in Couples and Family Therapy at Alliant International University. Along the way, I became a member of both the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the Association for Play Therapy—communities that keep me connected and continually learning as a therapist.
In my work, I try to bring both empathy and a sense of playfulness into the room. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches—like DBT, Narrative Therapy, and Strategic Family Therapy—but what matters most to me is meeting each person right where they are. My hope is always to create a space where people feel understood, supported, and encouraged to move toward the changes they want in their lives.
Outside of work, my own roller coaster ride is shared with my husband and our daughter. We love finding new adventures together, whether that’s traveling, crafting, or just enjoying simple family fun. And when life finally slows down, I recharge by catching up on favorite TV shows and movies—especially the feel-good scenes that never fail to make me smile.
If you are ready to take the next step in your personal growth and mental health journey, I am here to help you every step of the way. Let's work together to build a brighter, more balanced future.
